Trading Terminal Overview

The ForgeEdge trading terminal lets you backtest strategies and practice with live market data.

The ForgeEdge Trading Terminal

The trading terminal is your practice ground. It's a realistic simulator powered by real market data where you can test your edge without risking actual capital.

Key Features

Lightweight Charts

Browse candlestick charts with full zoom and pan controls. See volume analysis, technical indicators, and draw trend lines directly on the chart.

Paper Trading

Execute hypothetical trades just like real ones. Your fills will be realistic—we simulate slippage and you can't magically execute at impossible prices.

Bar Replay

Step through price action bar-by-bar. See what you would have done with hindsight, then rewind and try again knowing only what you knew at the time.

Backtesting

Test a strategy across weeks or months of historical data. See your win rate, max drawdown, and average R:R across a larger sample.

Multiple Assets

Trade stocks, forex, crypto, and futures. Test if your strategy works across different markets.

Trade Analysis

Every trade you execute in the terminal gets logged automatically. See your statistics and P&L.

Getting Started

  1. Pick an asset you want to practice
  2. Choose a timeframe
  3. Load historical data (typically the last 1-3 months)
  4. Take trades using your strategy
  5. Review results in your journal

Most traders spend 10-20 hours in the terminal before they trade real money. This investment pays for itself on the first trade you don't blow up.

When to Move to Real Money

Once you've logged 100+ trades in the terminal with consistent profitability (ideally 2+ months of data), you're ready for real capital. Start small—trade 1-2 contracts until you've proven you can execute under pressure.
